Yes, Don’t worry, we are not harming or shearing babies. BLACKSAW Baby Alpaca is humanely shorn each spring from the underside of the neck and body of our Alpaca’s, where the fiber is the finest and softest (22.5 microns).
SO WHAT IS BABY ALPACA?
The name “baby” reflects quality, not age.
Our fibers are classified manually according to fineness and sorted in quality by microns. Baby Alpaca represents the finest and softest wool at (22.5 microns).
WHY IS YOUR CURRENCY IN USD IF YOU ARE A CANADIAN COMPANY?
Although we are a proudly Canadian founded company, Blacksaw is a Global brand and currently, USD is the world recognized currency. The good news is, if you are ordering within Canada, you will not incur any duties. For those ordering from the USA, there are no duties on our blankets and throws.

Once an order is placed, unfortunately, we are unable to make any changes. Our shipping costs are variable and are calculated on a variety of factors including destination of shipment and dimensional weight of the ordered value.
HOW FAST IS YOUR SHIPPING?
Most of our orders are shipped within 24 hours of purchase from our warehouse in the great white north (Canada), pending availability and credit verification. Once your order is shipped, we estimate you will receive your order within 2-7 business days of its ship date. If you need your item(s) sooner, please select the expedited shipping option which is only available in Canada at the moment. The timing of our shipments may vary, but rest assured we work our hardest to get you your order as quickly as possible. Any additional shipping costs are nonrefundable.
